I'm new here

We were all first timers once and we know that it can be a bit daunting to come to a new church, especially if its been a while since you came to church or if its your 1st time. We wanted to share a little about what happens on a Sunday morning to hopefully help a little.

So you’re thinking of coming along to Charlton United Reformed Church? The first things to say are that you would be very welcome and you’ve made an excellent choice ( if we do say so ourselves). Whether you are a Christian looking for a church or just thinking about the faith I hope that you will feel welcomed.

We start at 10.30am, but some arrive a little late sometimes. We end around 11.30am. We tend to stand to sing but sit for everything else.

Dress Code

There isn’t one! You may find some people in Sunday best but many people will be dressed much more casually and jeans and t-shirt is just as acceptable as suit and tie or posh frock. Just wear what you feel comfortable in. paragraph

Children

Many parents can feel nervous about their children (especially younger ones) being disruptive in church. Please don’t worry, most of us have or have had children and we love to have children in our service and normally we have activities for them.New paragraph

Disabled access and facilities

Our building is suitable for wheelchair users and we have disabled toilet facilities. If you have any specific needs, please feel free to contact us to discuss.

Music

Our music is a mixture of more modern worship songs and traditional hymns, played with live musicians or through the computer.

What about Covid?

We try and do things as safe as possible, please see the Covid section of this website.
